ARE YOU IN SEC'S HOUSE DISTRICT 41?
Let's Be Heard Again
From the JCPS school board to the state house, the heart of Louisville has been at a standstill under ineffective leadership that camps on the fringes and accomplishes little for our families and communities.
Sara-Elizabeth Cottrell is a compassionate conservative advocating for real change and productive dialogue in the local and state political squares.
Growing up with parents who prioritized Christian faith, family, education, and befriending those in need, Sara-Elizabeth learned to value hard work and loving others. Now, she’s a wife, mom, educator, businesswoman, and longtime Louisville resident who loves the Highlands and Kentucky. She wants more respect, progress, education, and purposeful questions that lead to life-changing answers.
Our leadership has plagued our district with false allegiance to diversity as we’ve developed the whitest neighborhood in the city. Shouts of “peace, peace” fill the streets at the same time gunshots ring out, drugs trade hands, and private property vanishes in broad daylight. Signs proclaim support for JCPS and its teachers while our children struggle to read, to stay out of fights, and to filter false narratives.
If we want change, we must change direction. It’s time to hear new voices in the public square.
Louisville’s 41st District, stretching from George Rogers Clark Park through the vibrant Highlands over to Hikes Point, has spent decades sending radical Democrats to Frankfort. Their passionate, insulting speeches have rung through the House floor, and as the anonymous quote goes,
When the debate is lost, slander becomes the tool of the loser.
Sure enough, those who have the power to address District 41’s problems stopped listening to us a long time ago. It’s time to take a stand on common-sense, compassionate policies. If you’re tired of being ignored, know this: it’s time to send them one of their own, who is also one of you.
